Before you buy it,
find out what it really costs.
Can I Afford is a personal financial decision tool. You enter six figures about your money once, and then, whenever you are weighing a purchase — a house, a car, a course, or a habit that quietly costs you a crore — it tells you whether you can genuinely afford it, what it costs your net worth by retirement, and which established affordability rules the decision passes or breaks.
We use Google only to sign you in and to keep your figures available across your devices. Your figures are readable only by you — enforced by the database, not just the app.
Tell us your six numbers once
Monthly take-home, monthly expenses, existing loan EMIs, liquid savings, investments, and your age. We remember them, so every question after the first takes seconds.
Get a verdict, not a calculator
Each decision is tested against named, published rules — the 20/4/10 rule for cars, RBI loan-to-value caps for property, the Latte Factor for daily habits — and you see exactly which ones it passes and which it fails.
See the cost you cannot see
Every purchase is measured against the future you would have had without it: what it takes from your net worth by 60, with all the arithmetic shown and every assumption open to change.
What this is not
It is not investment advice and we are not a registered investment adviser. It holds no money, moves no money, and connects to no bank account. Every figure is ordinary arithmetic on assumptions you can see and change, computed in your own browser. We earn no commission from any decision you make.
